Thank you for choosing Yayoi Sushi! We are committed to providing the highest quality sushi and excellent service. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, please review our Return and Refund Policy below for guidance on how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges.


1. General Policy

Refunds will only be considered under specific circumstances outlined below, and only for orders that are defective or not as described.


2. Refunds and Exchanges

We strive to ensure every order meets your expectations, but in the event that something goes wrong, the following guidelines apply:

A. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

  • If you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us within 1 hour of receiving your order (for delivery orders) or 1 hour of pick-up (for in-store orders).
  • We may request photos of the damaged items to process the refund or exchange.
  • If we determine the issue is our fault (e.g., incorrect items, defective packaging), we will offer a full refund or exchange at no additional cost to you.

B. Quality Concerns

  • We prepare all orders with the utmost care, and freshness is our priority. If you have a concern about the quality or taste of your sushi, please contact us as soon as possible. While we cannot offer refunds for subjective taste preferences, we will work with you to ensure your satisfaction.

C. Missing Items

  • If your order is missing an item or there is an error in the items received, please let us know within 1 hours of pick-up or delivery. We will verify the issue and either provide a replacement or a refund for the missing item(s).

3. Cancellations and Changes

Since we require pre-orders for all items, we offer a limited window for cancellations:

  • Cancellations: You may cancel your order for a full refund up to 3 days before your scheduled pick-up or delivery time. After this time, cancellations are not eligible for a refund.
  • Changes to Orders: If you need to modify your order (e.g., change the pick-up time, adjust the quantity), please contact us as soon as possible. Changes can be made up to 3days before your scheduled pick-up or delivery time. Once the order is processed or being prepared, changes cannot be guaranteed.

4. Refund Process

If you are eligible for a refund, the following process applies:

  • Processing Time: Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 14 business days. Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account.
  • Non-Refundable Items: Certain orders, such as custom or personalized items, may not be eligible for a refund once they have been prepared or delivered. This will be specified during the ordering process.

5. Late or Failed Deliveries

We make every effort to ensure that your order is delivered on time. However, in rare cases, delivery delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, traffic, or courier issues).

  • On-Time Delivery: We will always strive to deliver your order at the time requested. If the delivery is delayed by more than 1 hours, please contact us, and we will assess the situation to determine if a partial refund or other resolution is warranted.
  • Unsuccessful Delivery: If delivery is unsuccessful due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you, the customer is responsible for rescheduling or covering any additional delivery fees.

6. Refund Exclusions

Refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:

  • If the issue is related to subjective preferences (e.g., you didn’t like the taste or style of the sushi).
  • If the order is not picked up or accepted at the scheduled time and delivery was attempted successfully.
  • If the order was not canceled or changed within the allowed time frame.
  • If the issue arises after 1 hours of receiving the order (for delivery) or after pick-up (for in-store orders).
