1. Do you offer walk-in orders, or do I need to pre-order?
At Yayoi Sushi, we only accept pre-orders for all our sushi items. This ensures that every order is freshly prepared to your specifications. Please place your order at least 1 day in advance of your desired pick-up or delivery date.
2. How do I place a pre-order?
Placing a pre-order with us is easy! Simply visit our website, select your desired items, and proceed to checkout. During checkout, you’ll choose your preferred pick-up or delivery date and time. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an email with all the details.
3. Can I customize my sushi order?
Yes, we love to accommodate special requests! If you’d like to customize your sushi cake, such as make the cake you want (send us the piture), or excluding certain ingredients, or making a special request (e.g., vegetarian or gluten-free), please include this information in the order notes at checkout. Our team will do its best to fulfill your request.
4. Do you offer sushi cakes or custom sushi platters?
Yes, we offer custom sushi cakes and platters! These are perfect for special events like birthdays, celebrations, or corporate gatherings. Since these are made to order, please pre-order at least 7 days in advance to ensure availability and customization.
5. Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer delivery services to select areas. During checkout, you can select your delivery date and time. Delivery fees will be calculated based on your location. Please note that we cannot guarantee exact delivery times due to factors like traffic and weather conditions.
6. What areas do you deliver to?
We currently deliver to whole Calgary.
Please make sure your delivery address is corrent before placing your order.
7. How can I pay for my order?
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
- PayPal
- Other online payment methods (e.g., mobile payments)
All payments must be completed at the time of checkout to confirm your order.
8. Can I cancel or modify my order?
You can cancel or modify your order up to 3 days before your scheduled pick-up or delivery time. After this window, cancellations or changes cannot be made, as we will have already started preparing your order. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your order.
9. What should I do if my order is incorrect or damaged?
If you receive the wrong item or your order is damaged, please contact us immediately within 1 hours of receiving the order. We may ask for a photo of the damaged items to resolve the issue. If the mistake is on our part, we’ll offer you a full refund or a replacement at no additional charge.
10. How fresh is your sushi?
We prioritize freshness and only use high-quality ingredients for all our sushi. Since all of our sushi is made to order, we prepare it fresh just for you on the day of your pick-up or delivery. We recommend consuming your sushi as soon as possible for the best taste and quality.
11. Do you offer any vegan or gluten-free options?
Yes! We offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know when placing your order, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. You can mention any special requests in the order notes during checkout.
12. How do I know when my order will be ready for pick-up or delivery?
You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed, which will include the date and time for your scheduled pick-up or delivery.
13. What should I do if I missed my pick-up or delivery window?
If you missed your scheduled pick-up time, please contact us as soon as possible. For delivery issues, we will make one additional attempt to deliver your order. If we’re unable to reach you or successfully deliver, we may not be able to provide a refund.
14. Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, we offer gift cards that can be used for any of our products! They make great gifts for sushi lovers! Please contact us to purchase the gift cards.
15. Can I place a large order for a party or event?
Absolutely! We specialize in large orders, including sushi platters, sushi cakes, and party trays. Please contact us at least 7 days before your event so we can ensure availability and help you plan the perfect sushi spread.

17. Do you offer catering services?
Yes, we offer catering for events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. Please contact us to discuss your catering needs and receive a custom quote based on the number of guests and your preferred menu.
18. Are your products safe for people with allergies?
We take food allergies seriously and will do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions, such as seafood allergies, gluten, soy, etc. However, please note that we use shared kitchen equipment, so we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur. If you have severe allergies, please inform us at the time of ordering.
